Lehrer fans will love these two icons
of Santa Cruz musical comedy.
An accomplished composer and record producer, Steve was voted Santa Cruz Musician of the year in 2013. He arranges, sings and plays trombone for The Lehrermen.
The world's first Dixie-ragtime skiffle band dedicated to the legacy of Tom Lehrer. Rick Tacklind, Peter Nichols, Olaf Schiappacasse, Steve Wilson, and Kylan deGhetaldi.
"Me & Tom"
This one-man revival duo performs these songs with written permission that Mr. Lehrer surely regrets. The "Me" is Peter Nichols and "Tom" is his imaginary friend that never shows up.
Since we've got a barbershop quartet, well, we couldn't get by without a beautyshop trio. Here's "3-In-A-Chord" featuring Bev Wesley, Georgene Goodwin and Gina Jett.
Rick "Ace" Tacklind
Present at the birth of the Lehrerman and instrumental in the band's instrumentality. Plays bass in a hundred bands and sings real good.
Writer, humorist, and world class Master of Ceremonies, had the crowd eating out of his hands in VVL II. Helped launch the current Lehrer revival efforts.
Recognized in the very first class of Gail Rich Award recipients, he holds a record for 31 consecutive years singing the National Anthem for the SF Giant's. Lehrer fans love him.
Santa Cruz Opera Diva Numero Uno is well known to Santa Cruz musical theater goers including Cabrillo Stage, Shakespeare Santa Cruz and Mountain Community Theater.
This award winning Gold Standard Chorus barbershop quartet is a crowd favorite. They are Mark Torrance, Jordan Johnson, Nick Roberto and Allen Takahashi.
Arguably Santa Cruz's premier drummer, plays more kinds of music than there are known to exist. Always on time and glad to see his name spelled correctly.
